The Huskers beat Ball State by 1 point today in a nine-play fourth quarter drive to rally from behind. This is an important victory after the loss last week to USC.
Both offensives laid it on heavy like freight trains with Ball State racking up over 600 yards offensively against the Huskers’ 552 yards. Marlon Lucky caught 11 passes for 81 yards, the most ever by a running back and Nebraska. He also carried the ball for 102 yards on 21 carries for a second 100-yard rushing day of the season. Maurice Purify and Sean Hill both received for 120+ yards receiving and multiple touchdown receptions.
Overall it was a good day for the Huskers. Travis ended up with plenty of sunburn on a beautiful day at Memorial Stadium. I’m not sure how he gets tickets; the stadium sold out for the 285th consecutive time.
Next week it’s Nebraska hosting Iowa State. I’m hoping for another great game with plenty of action.
