Trip To Kansas City

Jason At The Wheel

I just got back from a weekend mini-vacation to Kansas City. The weather was a bit chilly but the drive wasn’t too bad. We made it down there Friday after work and checked into the hotel around 8:30 PM. Saturday was a lazy morning of relaxation, a movie and some room service. The afternoon was filled with an ice-encased trip to a big outlet mall in Olathe, KS called The Great Mall of the Great Plains.

Dinner and drinks were had at The Cheesecake Factory. I tried out the Caribbean Cooler which had two kinds of rum and was impressed. It was borderline “foo foo” for a guys drink so I’m glad I started out with some vodka!

The drive back today could have been better if I hadn’t exhausted my supply of windshield wiper de-icer. To top that off, my wiper blades have been sucking and the ice didn’t help. Had to put the defrost on maximum overdrive until I could get back into town. I’ve totally restocked my supplies and replaced the blades; unable to feel my fingertips afterwards.

We didn’t take many pictures, most of just funny faces. Not really stuff to put on the Internet if I have any self-respect! Anyways, it was a good trip out of town and an awesome chance to relax and unwind. Sadly the weekend seemed to fly by. Back to the grind until next time!
