I treated myself to an iPod Touch for Christmas this year. I’d been holding out for the past several months and I figured what the hell, it’s Christmas! I’d been using my shuffle at the gym but I wanted a bit more flexibility for my tunes.
Things went well for the first few days. I had to pick and choose what I wanted to listen to because I went with the 8GB model. The Wi-Fi access rocks, Safari works well and the interface is intuitive.
On day three I started to have one major issue. My iPod would just stop playing music. Randomly. Different songs, different audio books, different places. It wasn’t always at the same time and it could happen after one song or after ten. I would get booted back to the home screen. Annoying as hell. So far the easiest fix I’ve found is to reset your settings. NOT your content and settings. =) At the home screen click on Settings > General Settings > Reset > Settings.
So far my iPod Touch has been much happier. No mysterious issues. According to Apple this was supposed to be fixed in the 1.1.2 update so hopefully it will be fully resolved in 1.1.3.
