I haven’t started writing my thoughts on each and every Bronco’s game this year (yet) so I’m going to start by mashing the first three games together with my thoughts.

September 8th, 2008 – Denver Broncos vs Oakland Raiders

The Broncos obliterated the Raiders with an awesome passing game by Jay Cutler. Not only was Cutler throwing bullets through the air, but Selvin Young ran the ball unchallenged by the Raiders’ defense. The Bronco’s out-scored the Raiders in three of the four quarters until each team scored two touch downs in the fourth.
Final tally: Broncos 41, Raiders 14

September 14th, 2008 – Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers

This game was definitely not a shining example of Jay Cutler’s skill. He threw several interceptions, the sheer volume of turnovers was ridiculous. The Bronco’s controlled the ball well for the first half of the game and then ran out of steam in the 3rd quarter. After a bad call by the ref’s on a fumble by Cutler, Denver kept the ball and threw it in for a touchdown, ultimately pulling off the two-point conversion and winning the game in the final minutes.
Final tally: Broncos 39, Chargers 38

September 21st, 2008 – Denver Broncos vs New Orleans Saints

I’ve got nothing good to say about this game. It shouldn’t have been as close as it was. The Broncos fired on all six cylinders for the first quarter and then traded in their ride for a Pinto. They squeaked by the final three quarters to win.
Final tally: Broncos 34, Saints 32

Overall the Bronco’s are coming out very strong this year. They have a great passing game and Selvid Young is tearing up the turf as their RB. He’s practically unstoppable and has quick feet. Cutler is connecting with the receivers and doing a good job of keeping an eye on the field and his feet moving. I’m hoping that they can continue with their momentum and have a great season.

A scant seven days later, the Husker football program has chosen Bo Pelini as the new head coach. This comes as no surprise considering there’s been rumors for the last week that Bo’s wife was in Lincoln looking at real estate.

Among other notable jobs, Pelini was an assistant coach for the Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. In 2003 he was the Defensive Coordinator for the Huskers under Coach Frank Solich. Pelini led the Huskers to a victory in the 2003 Alamo Bowl as Interim Head Coach after the Nebraska Athletic Director, Steve Pederson, fired Solich after a 9-3 season. Bo then interviewed for the Head Coach position but was not selected as the Huskers chose Bill “I Don’t Know How To Win” Callahan instead.

What amazes me is that the Huskers hired Callahan after he posted a 4-12 season with the Oakland Raiders. Sound familiar to any Husker fans out there?

Pelini is known for his strong defensive focus which is an area the Huskers have been suffering. After two losing seasons we are all pretty sure that our defense sucks. The rest of the NCAA knows too.

Now we all anxiously await the termination of the rest of the staff. Let’s see where the chips fall.

It wasn’t a good start to the weekend for Huskers now-ex-coach Bill Callahan. Early Saturday morning he entered the athletic directors office and left ten minutes later. Shortly afterward it was announced by the University of Nebraska Lincoln staff that Bill Callahan was terminated from his position as head coach.

Apparently it’s cheaper to pay the millions of dollars that Callahan will receive then it is for him to have another losing season. It may be harsh but since 1962 the Huskers have had two losing seasons, both under the leadership of Bill “What’s Winning?” Callahan.

There’s been no announcement of his successor but we’re all waiting with our eyes wide shut!

People went crazy with the festivties of the super bowl. Its taken as a clebration around USA. People just go on browsing and exploring the internet in the serch of cheap tickets. You can get the tickets of your favourite team e.g Whether you want pittsburgh steelers fifty yard line tickets, behind the end zone seats, group tickets, box tickets, season tickets, playoff tickets, sky box seats, discount tickets, or any sold out NFL game tickets, you can get them all over the internet. You can get the schedule of your favorite teams like san diego chargers, bufflo bills or baltimore ravens online as well. You can get the related stuff as well like videos of super team tennessee titans and etc.

In the event that you didn’t know the Huskers lost again, this is your official notification.

Not only did they lose, they lost 79-36. I don’t care who you are, your defense SUCKS if you let someone score 79 points. It’s pitiful. For anyone who says that “oh this was a better game then last week” I want you to kick yourself in the face. That is less painful then watching this train wreck of a team.

A weak offense (apparently), coupled with a defense that seems inebriated at best, I don’t expect the Huskers to do much the rest of the season.

Is it all bad? No, not completely. Ganz played a spectacular game on the field. Unfortunately he can’t carry the whole team.

Living in Nebraska I get roped into this “your team sucks” category from all of my friends NOT in Nebraska.

For the records, I’m an immigrant here from the US Air Force. Sure, I settled here but I wasn’t indoctrinated into club of Husker fans at my conception.

If you’re one of those souls I just want to say that I’m sorry. You just don’t know any better.

No new AD has been chosen and the school is anticipating a nation-wide search. Firing Bill Callahan at this time would cost the school about 3.2 million dollars. Yowza!
